EQ02 LifeMonitor nominated for Technology innovation of the year award at the Private Business Awards 2011 sponsored by PWC and HSBC.
The Equivital EQ02 Life Monitor, which has been developed and commercialised by Hidalgo, has been selected as a runner-up in the prestigious Private Business Awards 2011, presented at the Savoy Hotel in London.
The inaugural awards were sponsored by PwC, in association with HSBC Private Bank, and in support of the charity LEAP.
Equivital had been nominated in the Technology Innovation of the Year category and was shortlisted from among 300 leading entries.
In her welcoming speech at the awards night, Ruby Parmar, the head of PwC's private business practice, highlighted the vital importance of private companies by noting that the businesses represented in the room alone contribute over £17bn to the UK economy and employ 100,000 people.
Anmol Sood, CEO of Hidalgo, commented: “We were delighted that the Equivital EQ02 Life Monitor was nominated for this award – and even more so that the judges recognised the product as an exceptional innovation among such a high calibre of other nominations. It is a tribute to the whole team here at Hidalgo.”
