EQ-01 Sensor Unit

The EQ-01 Sensor Unit consists of the EQ-01 Monitoring Belt and EQ-01 Sensor Electronics Module (SEM).

The Equivital monitoring belt features a system of fabric embedded, intelligent sensors to measure medical grade physiology in real time. The monitoring belt connects with the Sensor Electronics Module.

The SEM weighs just 75g, is robust and water proof. The SEM features embedded algorithms which allow intelligent real time processing of the wearer's vital signs and transmits them via a Class 1 Bluetooth interface.

Key Features

  • Patented monitoring suitable for use with high levels of activity and perspiration
  • Multi-parameter sensor
  • Tri axis accelerometer measures body position, impact and activity

The EQ-01 single sensor technology measures multiple vital signs, body position and movement all from 1 monitoring unit.

Customised Algorithms

Intelligent Algorithms

The SEM processes physiology using a series of embedded algorithms. The EQ-Sense algorithms aid data processing so that physiology measured at high levels of ambulation is suitable for medical analysis. These algorithms have been trialled and tested by some of the most extreme organisations including military special operations, formula 1 drivers and marathon runners.

Further algorithms are in development to enhance the value of the information from EQ-01 and we can offer a customised algorithm development service for customers and partners.

Disclosure control

The sensor sends data in two forms:

1. Partial disclosure, where the SEM processes the data and passes only a summary message at a set time interval or on an alarm

2. Full disclosure, where all vital signs are transmitted in full waveform, medical format
