Equivital Warfighter Physiological Monitoring
Equivital EQ-01 Technology has been used to successfully demonstrate some of the following benefits of physiological monitoring in a military environment
Identifying Measures affecting Operational Effectiveness
For monitoring physiological load on the soldier as a result of environmental factors, equipment load and terrain. This can be used to objectively assess the cost-benefit ratio of heavier equipment and to assess techniques for activities such as rapid cooling which are critical in operational theatre.
Situational Awareness
For monitoring personnel on the front line.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR THE FUTURE
Intelligent Tasking
For supporting remote medic assessment and triage, deployment and subsequent evacuation of a casualty.
Duty of Care
Providing a duty of care to the soldier, the medic and the commander is important and the EQ-01 device equips you with some information that can form a part of this.
Remote physiological monitoring can benefit the military commander by providing added situational awareness of his troops and their operational effectiveness.
Future Benefits for Exploration
It could also benefit the soldier by increasing the chances of a wounding event being identified and the medic by providing extra information remotely or locally, to enable further support to prioritize and treat casualties;
A Possible Future Configuration for Military Systems Integration

Equivital System Deployment
There are 3 stages to enable deployment of an Equivital EQ-01 based system in military operations:
- Small scale non-operational trial with on-board recording of data (current data available)
- Larger scale operational trial with on-board recording of data/integration with communications system for real time data (current data available)
- Plan for and specify bespoke requirements (if any) for operational use of Generation 2 EQ-02
