EquivitalTM
Equivital
is the first field-deployable remote physiological welfare monitoring system to combine a comprehensive range of sensors into a small, light body-mounted wireless sensor module.
The system offers a primary measure of a wearers cardio-respiratory status, in addition to secondary information about a users activity, thermal and neurological status.
Unlike other systems, Equivital
has been designed specifically for its intended use, and not simply by modifying an existing medical monitoring device. Hence, the system offers the smallest and most cost effective solution for remote monitoring needs.
The sensor utilizes a unique internal architecture to achieve excellent performance at extreme levels of ambulation and environmental conditions, providing monitoring personnel with additional vital information to assist them in remote assessment of a user.
The product has been designed to enable easy system integration of the sensor into an organization's primary communication infrastructure in order to allow seamless incorporation of the physiological data into command and control equipment and processes.
The Equivital monitoring system is ideally suited for use by the Military, Emergency Services (Fire, Paramedics / Ambulance Services, Police and Coastal / Mountain Rescue), First Responders, General Healthcare (Telemedicine and Drug trials) and Performance Sports (events and training) and veternarians working with hi-value animals.
The device may be customized to meet specific user requirements. For further information download the latest Equivital Brochure. Consider purchasing a System Developer's Kit .

Remote Occupational Welfare Monitoring
For monitoring users in potentially life threatening situations or where there is a high risk or trauma and during subsequent provision of emergency care. The well documented “Golden Hour” - the first sixty minutes after a trauma has occurred - where treatment within this time frame significantly increases the chances of a positive outcome, relies on rapid detection of the trauma event. For remote and isolated workers this requires a remote monitoring system such as Equivital
is aimed at.
General Vital Signs Monitoring
For continuous monitoring and storage of cardio-respiratory vital signs for real-time or post collection analysis, particularly where a small, light ambulatory monitor is needed. Equivital
makes the prospect of a "vital signs monitor on a belt" a reality and the device may be used by a civilian first responder or paramedic with the option of support from a remote triage center. The device is particulary suited for ad-hoc field hospital use.
In it's data logging mode the device can be used during drug / sports / exercise trials where the data is being stored locally.
